Temple-esque

Chart based with a few notes because I can't write up a pattern you can actually knit. *I* was thinking Mesoamerican pyramids, but then someone said it reminds them of Angkor Wat, and another said an East Indian temple, so I guess my pattern design skills are not great! The sample is the more “tarty” version of the pattern, and has been knitted in garter stitch (knitting both sides) making the cloth shorter. Stockinette stitch (knitting the right side and purling the wrong side) will elongate your pattern. If you’re inclined to say “Less in MORE, LG!!”, then I’ve included a more basic, “cleaner” version along with a dark background/light contrasting line versions of both. Because MORE is MORE! Materials: • 2 skeins worsted weight cotton (skein marked 4) - two contrasting colors would be best. I used Michael’s Loops & Threads Classic Cotton. • 4.5mm needles – I used a 40” circular needle as straights, just a personal preference. If you’re planning on knitting in a stockinette stitch, you may want to consider using 5mm for a looser look. • Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends. Gauge: NOT IMPORTANT! I mean, it’s not for me but if you want to swatch it, knock yourself out, lol!
