Phringe Tank

The Phringe Tank takes advantage of the sideways garter stitch construction to create a playful striped tank with a fringed hem–all while avoiding purling! Increases and decreases are done using bind offs and Cable Cast Ons. The front and back are worked separately, then seamed along the sides and shoulders to provide structure and support for the garment. The neckline and armhole stitches are picked up and worked with a simple but polished finish. Instructions for a “random” repeat in 4, 5, or 6 colors are provided. The intentional misspelling of Phringe is a Philly Jawn. See pattern photos for yarn estimate chart*. Because this garment utilizes a multi-color palette, total yarn requirements shift based on how many colors you use. These calculations account strictly for the individual 185-yard skein limits of each separate color. In my 6-color Size 4 Version A sample (using 2 skeins of the dark blue and 1 skein each of each of the other colors), I had plenty of leftover yarn overall, but a few colors came close—I finished with only 4 grams each of pink and white, while the other three contrast colors had 15 grams remaining. *Check the charts on the last 2 photos on the pattern page for a detailed breakdown of yarn estimates. **Don't print the whole pattern!
