Constellation Socks

***Inspiration*** I really wanted to see more knitted socks with ruffles – the kind you can even wear with a skirt – which is what inspired this pattern. They remind of those summer nights when you watch night sky and search for lots of constellations. I’m a huge fan of designs that are full of detail and never dull, so I hope making them brings you just as much joy (or even more!), as designing and knitting them brought me. ***About the pattern*** Constellation Socks are knitted top-down, with ruffle and rolled edge. Then, simple structural pattern, based on yarn overs and clusters, is knitted on top of the sock with simple stockinette at the bottom. Heel flap is made by combination of knit and slipped stitches, known as Eye of Partridge. I highly suggest you to wet block your socks, as the structural pattern slightly grows and blooms in water. ***Sizes*** Pattern includes sizes 56 (64) 72 (80) witch corresponds to 18 (20) 22 (24)cm/7 (8) 9 (10)" of foot circumference (measured at widest point). It is best to knit socks that are slightly smaller than your measurements and if you are falling in between sizes, please choose a smaller one, however, keep in mind that the structural pattern is less elastic than standard stockinette stitch. If pattern doesn't suits your size, you can easily change the stitch count and increase accordingly. Row count is not that important, lenght of sock is made up to your needs. Stockinette: 34 stitches in 10cm (4") Structural pattern: 36 stitches in 10cm (4") ***Yarn*** Any type of fingering sock yarn, my pair was made with Woollala Diamonds and Sock Merino. You will need 2 colors of yarn, if you are planning to make ruffles in another color. If not, feel free to do them in one color. For each size it is needed (both socks): On average, for ruffles it is needed ~6-9g and for rest of the socks ~40-80g, depending on size and length of the foot. ***Notions*** Stitch markers, measuring tape, knitting needle, blockers
