The fit is comfortable and loose without being oversized. The dress is worked in stockinette stitch from the top down using 2 strands of either Pure Silk, Cotton Merino or Merino held together throughout. You start with working the upper part of the back before you pick up stitches for the shoulders and then shape the boat neck by casting on new stitches. The armholes are shaped with increases before front and back are joined on the same needle and the body continued in the round. The body and skirt are shaped with increases to create the A-line shape. I-cord edges finish the skirt edge, both armholes and neckline – creating a neat and durable finish.
