Weldon's Yacht Block

Big, bold but stately, this pattern was used for a yachting jersey from ca. 1898 *Weldon’s Practical Needlework*. This texture could be used for almost anything in any gauge but it would look great in an afghan. The pattern has 22 rows and has a 15-stitch repeat +3 edge stitches to balance the pattern. It’s all just knit and purl! So easy, divided attention is okay while knitting this! Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Gauge is **not** important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
