Yarn: Jill Draper Makes Stuff, Barstow (fingering/sock; 100% Dorset Wool, (425 yds/389m/113g) 1 skein in Summer Daydream. Can use other fingering weight sock yarns Needles: 2 needles US 1 (2.25mm) 16"-40" Gauge: 12 st x 10 rows = 1"x1" in main pattern in the round Size: Adult Standard Crew Length Shows variation for wide and regular heel constructions Has a wide toe box construction Other Notions: Scissors Yarn Needle Stitch Marker Construction Notes: Uses the long-tail cast-on and long-tail purl cast on. However you can use your preferred CO for “ribbed” top-down socks. This pattern is written using 2 circular needles method. You can modify it to use Magic Loop or double-pointed needles. Top needle refers to the needle that holds all the stitches for the top of the sock and Bottom needle refers to the needle that holds all the stitches for the bottom of the sock. There are provided instructions for some customizations for your heel construction to custom fit to your feet for a wider size. I have provided instructions for some alterations. Wider modifications are in brackets. I recommend trying on your sock each step of the way to make sure that it fits your needs, especially since this sock construction reinforces has the entire bottom of the foot.
