Pip Gnome Chart

This is a chart only listing. No garment pattern is included. Meet Pip, a gift-bearing gnome in a claret hat, with a present roughly his own size and a very strong sense of its importance. He sits on the front of a baby jumper and makes an excellent reason to start your Christmas knitting considerably earlier than planned. Particularly useful if you are a print-and-annotate knitter, or if you would simply rather not have your phone propped up against the yarn bowl for the duration. A quick word about knitting charts. You can find charts online for free, and many of them are drawn on square grids. The problem is that knit stitches are not square, they are rectangular, wider than they are tall. A chart drawn on squares will knit up distorted, wider and shorter than it should be. Every motif in this library is drawn to the correct stitch ratio, so what you see on the chart is what you get on the jumper. And if charts are not your thing, every motif also comes with full written row-by-row instructions, colour by colour, stitch by stitch. Work from whichever you prefer.
