**SeaglassSocks** Some stories begin with a journey. This one began with staying home. Unfortunately, our long-awaited holiday by the sea never happened. Instead, we found ourselves revisiting old photographs from happier travels: quiet mornings on the beach, weathered driftwood, smooth pieces of sea glass, soft sand beneath our feet, and waves that never seemed to hurry. Those memories became a gentle reminder that beautiful moments remain with us long after we leave a place. The SeaglassSocks were inspired by the beautiful hand-dyed Symfonie Terra yarn in the color Sandy Sea 2014 and those photographs in addition to the emotions they carried. The delicate stripes echo layers of sea and shoreline, while the simple, timeless design makes them a comforting project to knit at your own pace—almost like collecting little fragments of treasured memories, one round at a time. I wanted this pattern to be more than just another pair of socks. It is my gift to knitters who have always wanted to knit socks but never quite dared to begin. For that reason, the pattern is intentionally very detailed, guiding you through every step of the process.
