These top-down socks feature all my favourite things in an everyday sock pattern: simple, repeatable texture for interest, a classic and wearable style, and a heel that fits and looks cute. The heels can be worked in any type of sock, and their more spacious fit can be adjusted to give an even-more-personal size. **Sizes:** 1(2, 3, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8, 9) **Actual circumference measurements:** 5.75(6.25, 6.75, 7.25, 7.75)(8.25, 8.75, 9.25, 9.75) inches / 14.5(16, 17.25, 18.5, 19.75)(21, 22.25, 23.5, 24.75) cm, to be worn with approximately 10% / 0.25-1” / 0.5-2.5 cm of negative ease **Gauge:** 8 sts and 12 rows per 1 inch / 2.5 cm I use a 2.25 mm / US 1 needles size to achieve this gauge. **Yarn:** Any fingering-weight / #1 / superfine sock yarn, approximately +/-400 yds in 100 grams. For sizes 8 & 9 (Men’s sizes 11 and above), you may need a little more than 100 grams, depending on the height of the leg. For size 1 (smaller Children’s sizes), 50 grams may be enough.
