Notes from the Designer: In 2014, I received an invitation from Tonya of Rowe's Patterns and Gifts to do some test knitting for her. I gladly accepted, proceeded to test knit several of her sock patterns, and she returned the favor when I began my design journey. My favorite is her *Damask* sock pattern, and while wearing them recently, it hit me that the stitch pattern would be beautiful in a sweater. I immediately contacted Tonya, asked her permission to design a sweater around her stitch design, she said YES, and my tribute to *Damask* was born. *Tribute* is a bottom up tee with a beautiful central panel flanked by easy, but effective cables. The body is split and then worked flat for front and back. Shoulders are joined with a three-needle bind off, and sleeves are picked up at the armhole and worked down. The finishing touch is a 1 x 1 twisted rib at the hems and neckline. I love how this community has made it possible to build lasting, supportive friendships even though you may never meet face to face.
