**Pattern description:**
The sea tangle tee is a crewneck t-shirt, knit top-down, made in an all-over cable pattern. It is inspired by flowing lines in sand made by water. First, a back yoke is worked with German short rows, two panels are picked up and continued as the work is joined together to work the body. Short rows are also used to form the cap sleeves. All finishing edges are worked in double knitting, with a suggestion of an Italian bind off. The body is knit flat & the sleeves are worked in the round. The pattern is entirely charted, and a video tutorial is also provided to help walk people through the entire pattern, and familiarize them with how to do the cable techniques.
**Gauge and Yarn selection:**
33 stitches by 32 rows for a 10 by 10 cm (4 by 4 inch) square.
The written pattern includes a chart for the swatch, and the video tutorial discusses how to do each of the different cable stitches, both with and without a cable needle.
For yarn selection, the two samples used either a fingering or "heavy fingering" yarn. It is advisable to use a yarn that has some wool or other fibre that holds structure well to showcase the cables, but also with some other fibres that make the yarn soft, so it is comfortable against the skin. Highly drapey yarns, such as high alpaca content or high acrylic content, will likely not suit this pattern well.
Sample 1 (Purple) used Elmer by Lamb and Kid (100 grams = 366 m, 400 yards) a heavy fingering/sport weight. Yarn composition is 80% Merino, 20% Cashmere. Colour-way used in the sample is Cairn.
Sample 2 (White) used Saona by Wooldreamers (50 g = 220 m, 241 yards), a fingering-weight yarn. Yarn composition is 50% 50% Spanish Merino and Manchega, and 50% Andalusian Cotton. Used the colour-way Notes.
