Slip stitches lift up the fabric which creates the curve at the hem. The Front hem has a large curve, and the Back hem has a small curve (it looks almost straight when it is worn). There is an option to make the Front hem as for Back in the instructions if you prefer. This top is worked with two colors. Some sections are worked with one strand each of main color (MC) and contrast color (CC) yarns held together, and some sections are worked with one strand of MC only. This makes an interesting texture without being complicated.
