Needle size is given as a recommendation only. Use the needle size that allows you to achieve the required gauge. Broken rib pattern: RS: knit all stitches WS: *k1, p1* repeat ***Yarn suggestions*** This pattern is designed for smooth, worsted-spun (combed) yarns with good stitch definition. Wool and wool blends — including blends with silk or cashmere — work particularly well. Avoid very fuzzy or alpaca-heavy yarns, as they can blur the textured stitch pattern.
