A simple yet stylish shawl designed to keep you warm without taking the focus away from your amazing wedding dress. When styled according to the wrapping instructions, it creates a deep V-neck at both the front and the back. Working with mohair provides a beautiful, slight transparency for a light and delicate look. Note: The shawl is intentionally oversized, as the edges will naturally roll. Difficulty level: Beginner Material: - Yarn: Approx. 175 g / 1365 m (1492 yds) of Mayflower Super Kid Silk (76% mohair, 24% silk) – or any similar lace-weight yarn of your choice. - Needles: 5 mm (US 8) knitting needles. If substituting yarn, adjust needle size to match your yarn and achieve gauge. Gauge: 10cmx10cm (4’’x4’’) in stockinette stitch with 2 threads held together = 15 stitches x 25 rows Measurements of finished shawl: - Length: 320 cm (approx. 126") - Width (at widest point): 65 cm (approx. 25.5") Technics: Stockinette: knit all stitches on the right side, purl all stitches on the wrong side. Increase: Insert the left needle from back to front into the thread between the last stitch knit and the next stitch on the left needle. Knit by the back loop. Decrease: Knit the two next stitches together.
