Knitting pattern in English and German for a stash-busting, beginner-friendly hair accessory in two sizes. **| Construction:** You’ll shape it with a series of increases followed by decreases. From there, a narrow band is worked to connect the two sides. The second bow is then created in the same way, completing the hair tie with a balanced, whimsical finish. **| Languages:** English, German. **| Difficulty:** Beginner friendly. **| Materials:** This design is perfect for using up yarn from your stash. If you’d like to recreate the sample exactly as shown, you will need the following materials: *Mermaid Tears by PRU Yarns, here colour Black, 100 g - 400 m | 437 yards:* 1 skein for both sizes *Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive , here colour Licorice, 25 g - 225 m | 246 yards:* 1 skein for both sizes *Please note: You won’t even need half of the skeins to make the hair ties. Holding two strands together is only a suggestion — you can also work this pattern with a single yarn held alone, as long as it matches gauge. This project is especially suitable for effect yarns.
