A celebration of coming home, this vest uses the quilt classic Ohio Star design. This pattern features weights per swatch and design steps so that you can use your stash and remnants. Each block is a chance to try something new, to combine different colors, to start again. I suggest making the squares and laying them out as you go to find what color combinations you want to try next or how you may want to balance the arrangement. **Sizing:** Garment Bust Measurement: 32, (36, 40, 44, 48, 52) [56, 60, 64, 68]" 80 (90, 100, 110, 120, 130) [140, 150, 160, 170] cm The photographed sample is worn with 2” (5 cm) of ease, Choose a size that will achieve between 2-4" (5-10cm) of ease to match your preferred fit. **Yarn:** Fingering Weight Held Double to reach gauge. I used ZeeZee Textiles Classic Fingering (400yds, 366m per 100g) in Puffer Coat, Eggshell, Butterfly Bush, Ballet Tights, and Arctandria (Please note I used single skeins from my stash and not all colors may be available for order.) All yarn estimate calculations are the total you will need for fingering weight yarn, if you choose to use a different weight instead of holding fingering weight held double the amounts will differ. See below estimates for yarn usage: Total Yarn Estimates to be split across the amount of colors you choose: - 315g (365g, 400g, 455g, 510g, 570g) [630g, 700g, 765g, 840g] - 1248yds (1444yds, 1600yds, 1816yds, 2032yds, 2256yds) [2488yds, 2772yds, 3060yds, 3360yds] - 1142m (1321m, 1464m, 1662m, 1859m, 2064m) [2277m, 2536m, 2800m, 3074m] The pattern also features requirements per block and ribbing detail as well as a coloring page to help you plan out your project if you plan to use scraps, stash, or an advent! **Gauge:** As this vest is constructed using blocks, the best way to check gauge is to knit the main block block for your size and measure, Then you can use that block in the project. For gauge in flat stranded color work: 11 stitches x 13 rows = 2 x 2 inches (5 x 5 cm) For gauge in textured shoulder piece: 10 stitches x 17 rows = 2 x 2 inches (2.5 x 2.5 cm) **Needles:** Colorwork and Texture Blocks: US 7 (4.5 mm) Ribbing: US 4 (3.5 mm) **Notions:** 3/4" buttons Sizes 1-4 will need 6 buttons Sizes 5-7 will need 7 buttons Sizes 8-10 will need 8 buttons Tapestry Needle **Techniques:** Flat Stranded Colorwork.
