MAIN COLOUR (medium green): 200g Aran or heavier worsted weight yarn Equivalent to approx. 420m/460yds I used Hayfield Bonus Aran with Wool. I find this is a great thick aran weight yarn, and the 20% wool content adds good stiffness and texture, perfect for this type of project. ACCENT COLOUR (light green): 20g Aran or heavier worsted weight yarn Equivalent to approx. 42m/46yds For the Optional Flower: Small/scrap amounts (less than 5g per colour) of white, light pink, medium pink and yellow DK yarn Required hooks - 5.5mm and 5mm hooks for the hat 3.5mm hook for the flower Yarn needle Stitch markers Optional: 6in/15cm of 1.5mm (16 gauge) crafters/florist wire for the spiral stalk Optional: one broach blank or large safety pin for the flower
