Car maze Magic

This digital pattern is for the "Car Maze Magic" Toddler Blanket pattern. This is such a fun design and is ideal for children and adults as it is a fully working maze with only one correct route from the start to the end. I designed this pattern because my autistic grandson is very specific about the way he plays, but he loves to play with his cars, and he adores this blanket that I made for him. He uses it as a blanket and a play mat. This is a wonderful way to join your children while they play with their little cars as they follow the route of the maze. It's also a great blanket to make for the elderly as it can be quite therapeutic to trace the route with their fingers. There are 4 PDF files in total as I have included a written pattern and a full chart pattern, plus a 4 part chart pattern and instructions for an envelope border. Basic instructions are included on how to do Overaly Mosaic Crochet. All my patterns have been fully tested by me and my lovely crochet pattern testers. This blanket is worked from the bottom up, with the yarn cut at the end of each row. US crochet terms are used in this pattern. For the background I used Paintbox Simply DK in Pear Green, approximately 600g (1800 yards). For the 'roads' I used Paintbox Simply DK In Stormy Grey, approximately 400g (1200 yards). A 4mm (G) crochet hook The finished size of mine is approximately 44 inches wide x 57 inches long. (112cm x 144cm) including the borders. You can use any yarn you like for this project, but it may change the size of the finished project.
