*embark on a unique knitting journey with this triangle- and chevron-shaped lace camisole featuring a soft gathered neckline a customizable drawstring fit and reversible front and back styling* The pattern is also available on [yamagaraknits.com][2] which accepts payment through PayPal and Stripe. Inspired by the geometry of triangular shawls and soft floral lace, this camisole is designed with an airy summer feel in mind. If you enjoyed knitting [Luminos Tee][3], you may be interested to know that the Flowerhouse Camisole shares a similar construction. Like Luminos Tee, it begins as two “triangular shawl” pieces that are later joined in the round to form the lower part of the garment. It carries the same sense of knitting adventure, while incorporating carefully placed lace patterns that flow with the shaping of the design. The neckline is finished with knitted cord casings. A drawstring tie creates soft gathers and an adjustable fit. The camisole is reversible, allowing the front and back to be worn interchangeably. **FINISHED BUST MEASUREMENTS** Size 1 (2, 3, 4) : 100 (120, 140, 160) cm / 39¼ (47¼, 55, 63) inches finished bust circumference The sample is knit in Size 1 with + 14 cm / 5½” ease at bust. Suggested ease: + 5 to 15 cm / 2 to 6”. **YARN** Fingering weight Papiput Pandora (375 m / 410 yards per 100 g skein, 75% extra fine merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk) Sample colour: Blank 745 (1015, 1325, 1670) m / 815 (1110, 1445, 1830) yards 2 (3, 4. 5) skeins Yardage is an estimate. You will need more yarn if you increase the length of your work. **NEEDLES** One 2.75 mm / US 2 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” or longer One 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” or longer One spare circular needle (3.25 mm / US 3 or smaller), 60 cm / 24” or longer for holding stitches Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. **NOTIONS** Stitch markers, removable stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn for holding stitches, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, a safety pin or a threader to guide the cord through the casings **GAUGE (after blocking)** 26.5 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Dandelion and Stockinette stitch pattern with 3.25 mm / US 3 needle **NOTES** The camisole is knitted from the bottom up using a Stockinette stitch tab cast-on. Shaping is achieved through increases worked in a manner similar to triangular shawl construction, while following the Waterlily pattern chart. A second identical piece is worked, and together they form the lower wedges of the camisole. Two chevrons in a combination of Ripple pattern and Stockinette stitch are then used to join the pieces in the round until the underarm length is reached. The work is then divided, allowing the front and back to be worked separately in Dandelion and Stockinette stitch patterns. The front is continued in Ripple pattern up to the neckline. Both the front and back neck edges are finished with cord casings, through which a knitted drawstring is threaded and secured at the centre back with a ribbon knot. The drawstring allows for adjustable gathering at the neckline as well as customizable armhole depth, ensuring a flexible fit. Instructions for adjusting the underarm, centre front, and centre back lengths are included, allowing for easy customization. **SPECIAL THANKS** Deep gratitude to a team of kind and committed test knitters who offered their time and resources to work through the pattern to make sure that it is as clear and error-free as possible: Marianne, Uiko, Qiu Fang, Julie, Gabriela, Eveline, Amelia, Dorthe, Svitlana, Emiko, Nina, Hanna, Eva, Silvia, Venty, Wan Cheng, Sanae, Pauline, Moe, Misa, Pilar, Jennifer, Laurence, Toyoko, Suzanna, Co, Maria, Chikoko and Dina.
