A good project to use a single ball of worsted weight yarn. This quick to knit hat is suitable for the male or female wearer. The simple 2x2 ribbing expands into 3x1 ribbing to create a stretchy, comfortable hat. The stretchy ribbing will fit an average size adult head. Whip up more than one in different colors for gift giving or charity knitting ... or just because you like having choices in your head gear. The hat as knit in the sample used 49 grams (approx. 108 yds) to complete. Adjust the yardage according to your personal knitting gauge or if you wish a slouchier look.
