도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
The brain-eating amoeba ('Naegleria fowleri') changes shapes depending on its life stage, and here you have the three main forms. The main form (the rightmost in the pattern picture) is called trophozoite and it is the form that would enter through your nose when swimming, travel to your brain, and eat it. When the environment is hard (it is too cold, or food is scarce...), the amoeba goes into a dormant state called a cyst (the one in the center of the pattern picture), which can survive for long periods of time and is the only harmless form. But sometimes, when times are hard, the amoeba decides to escape the area, and for that it uses the flagellated form (the leftmost in the pattern picture), which swims much faster than the trophozoite. These three are too cute to be so evil, and will bring joy to any biologist or parasitologist!

The PDF includes step-by-step written instructions, visual references and photo-tutorials to help you, and it is available in English and Spanish.
**Sewing needed:** None (except for the eyes, but they can be substituted by safety eyes).
**Level:** beginner-intermediate.
You need to be familiar with the basic stitches used in amigurumi (chains, slip stitch, single crochet (US)/double crochet (UK), increases, invisible decreases, fron post stitches, to work in the back loop and third loop). There are photo-tutorials to learn how to do invisible decreases and working in the back and third loops with both right- and left-handed versions, if you need them.
**Yarn and hooks:** You can use any yarn weight you prefer; you only have to choose a suitable hook so you can crochet tight enough for the stuffing not to show.
