Shore Ripples is a bandana scarf inspired by the quiet movement of water along the shore. Gentle ripples and a steady flow shape the fabric into soft, rhythmic lines. The design follows the repeating patterns formed by the sea. The bandana scarf is fully reversible, with two designs in one. It can be worn in many different ways, showing either the smoother, flowing side or the more structured surface. Despite its cabled appearance, the shawl is actually an all-over lace pattern. The undulating texture can be minimally blocked for a three-dimensional effect or stretched more for a lacier fabric. YARN Gigglinggecko Yarns, Giggling DK (100% SW merino, 100 gr-246yds/225m), 1 skein. Sample yardage (213yds/195m) in color Vanilla. Consider purchasing an extra skein if your gauge is off or if you prefer a longer/wider scarf. Or any DK weight yarn: approx. 213-257yds (195-235m) total. MATERIALS 24” (minimum 60 cm) circular or straight needles. US 7 (4.0 mm). Stitch markers, tapestry needle. Gauge - BLOCKED 4" (10 cm) In lace pattern, 22 stitches x 30 rows. Gauge is not crucial at all, but will affect final size and yardage. FINISHED DIMENSIONS Approx. 54" (138 cm) wingspan along top edge x 9.5” (24 cm) width. Unblocked: 43" (110 cm) x 9” (22 cm). ADJUSTMENTS Adjustments are provided in the pattern.
