Bramble

Bramble is a hand towel worked from the bottom up using a repeating stitch pattern with i-cord edging and an optional i-cord hanging loop at the top. The hand towel in the pictures is knit in K&C Essential Cotton yarn in the color Golden Coast. This yarn has, unfortunately, been discontinued. However, any DK-weight 100% cotton yarn will work- gauge is not crucial for this project. I used almost all of my 180 yard skein for this piece. I used 3.75mm 16” circular knitting needles, but straight needles will work just as well. Please note that if you are using straight needles AND want to make the optional i-cord loop at the top, you will need two 3.75mm DPNs in addition to your straight needles. You will also need scissors and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends and securing the i-cord loop. I highly recommend wet blocking once you finish. This will ensure you obtain the correct dimensions. The finished dimensions after wet blocking are 15” x 20” (38cm x 51cm).
