Thank you!][1]** [1]: https://danigherardi.substack.com/ Elevated Basic is a tee with subtle design details that completely shift the vibe: symmetrical yoke increase placement, a relaxed shape, versatile styling, and a polished neckline finish. It’s a piece that feels modern, wearable, and easy to mix and match. The tee is knitted seamlessly from the top down with a circular yoke. Short rows are used to shape the front and neckline, making it especially comfortable to wear. It is designed to be used with a bit of positive ease, and the elongated length creates a flattering fit. Techniques used in the pattern: knit/purl, knit through the back loop, knitting in the round (including small circumferences), make-one increases (right and left), picking up and knitting stitches, short rows (optional), and placing stitches on hold. **CONSTRUCTION** The tee is knitted seamlessly from the top down, starting at the collar or the yoke. You cast on at the collar (or yoke), the yoke is knit, sleeve stitches are placed on hold or waste yarn, the body is completed, and then the sleeves are knit last. If you choose the structured collar, you will work the collar after completing the body. It is worked in the round, except for a few short rows after the stranded yoke. Short rows are used to raise the back neckline for a comfortable fit, but they are optional; you can skip them if you prefer. **SIZES** 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7, 8) Finished bust circumference 32 (36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56, 62)" 81 (91, 102, 112) (122, 132, 142, 155) cm Recommended ease: choose a size with approx. 0-4" (0-10 cm) of positive ease. See schematics with all finished measurements at the end of the pattern. **YARN** Pattern uses two strands of sport weight yarn held together, but it can be knitted with a single strand of Aran weight yarn. If you wish to work a single strand version, you will need half of the described yardage. Sport weight yarn (held double, total yardage): 950 (1000, 1050, 1100) (1200, 1300, 1400, 1500) yards 870 (915, 960, 1005) (1100, 1190, 1280, 1370) meters Sample uses: Knit Picks Galileo held double (50% Merino and 50% Bamboo; 131 yards / 120 meters), in colorway ‘Titan’: 8 (8, 9, 9) (10, 10, 11, 12) balls. **NEEDLES** Needles suitable for working in the round (including small circumferences): Main Fabric: US 8 (5 mm) Ribbing: US 6 (4 mm) Needle size is suggested only, you will need to swatch to determine the needle size needed to achieve gauge. **GAUGE** 15 sts and 21 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch in the round (see Stitch Guide, page 8) after blocking, using Main Fabric needle. 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Twisted Ribbing pattern in the round (see Stitch Guide, page 8) after blocking, using Ribbing needle. Before you measure, please take the time to wash and block your swatch in the same manner that you will wash and block your pullover. **NOTIONS** Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, and tapestry needle.
