Sylvie's Suit

P A T T E R N Sylvie’s Summer Suit is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. An i-cord edge decorates the neckline and a neck opening along the front left raglan line ensures a comfortable fit when dressing your little one in it. The suit is worked flat to form the neck opening and is then closed to be knitted in the round which is how the rest of the yoke, the body and the sleeves are worked. Sleeve and leg cuff edges are worked using the i-cord bind off. The legs are worked flat. At the end stitches are picked up into the side edge of each leg in order to apply a double knitted button band into which small snap buttons are sewn. As a second option, instructions are also given for working a 1 x 1 rib edge at the leg opening.
