Christmas in a Hurry - Chunky Stockings

These cute Christmas Stockings are quick and easy to knit - using UK chunky weight yarn. I was asked to knit some for a Hospice Christmas Appeal. They will be filled with a few little gifts and sweets. I think these will be very popular for fund-raising events ! Requires: UK Chunky yarn OR 2 strands of DK knitted together (For my stocking - I used 2 strands of white DK for the top border – then 1 strand of white and 1 strand of King Cole Glitz DK for the main part. Red would also look good – or any Christmas colours - sparkly or glittery yarn 6mm needles 2 sizes - around 9" and 11" in length These are fun to knit. Add a little ribbon bow or Christmas button if desired.
