Tesselia Belt +

Tesselia is a **mix-and-match crochet texture pattern** built around four repeating stitch sections that flow into each other naturally. The textures stay defined and visible with almost any yarn choice, making **the pattern easy to adapt** for completely different projects and styles. Originally designed as a belt or narrow scarf, the sample shown in gray fingering weight yarn highlights the clean texture transitions and lightweight drape of the fabric. The same construction also works beautifully for wider **rectangular projects** with or without rounded corners. To show **the flexibility of the pattern**, the bag pictured in the photos was made using the same texture sequence. The strap is worked exactly like the belt, only shorter, while the body of the bag was created by repeating the stitch pattern across 12 repeats instead of 2. **Customization** Depending on your yarn and hook choice, Tesselia can easily become a headband, cowl, classic scarf, wide shawl, cushion, washcloth, rug, blanket, bag strap, tote bag, or almost any rectangular crochet project you can imagine. The pattern is fully adjustable in both width and length. The sample was made with fingering weight yarn and a 2.2 mm crochet hook. With tight tension, **one skein** is enough for the project, though crocheters with a looser gauge may need slightly more yarn.
