Boxy round neck tank with texture designed to look like bamboo stalks running up and down the shirt, designed with approx. 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) of positive ease but works well with no/negative ease. Perfect for a night out or just lounging around the house. The bamboo breeze top is a captivating and enchanting design that will leave you wanting to create it again and again, while reaching for it consistently. The design was inspired by the flexibility and strength that is characteristic of bamboo. Bamboo symbolizes a strength and grace that is necessary in life. The design was born in an airport terminal of all places, I had found myself reflecting on the past few years. From the highs to the lows, the pain and the celebration, the loss of loved ones and the welcoming of new lives. The grace and flexibility of adapting to those changes and the strength required to carry on through the pain and the trials. We don’t always know what will happen in life or how the wind will blow but through it all if we remain strong and willing to bend without breaking we just might make it. The garment is worked Top-down starting flat and being joined under the arms. There is a mock i-cord edge created by slipped stitches along the edges when working flat to create a finished edge. This means when you’re done, you’re done no need to go back and add neckline or arm hole finishing touches. There are options for neckline finishing should you wish to do so as well as an adjustment to shorten the armhole depth if you want a closer fitting armhole. If you are knitting the pattern with recommended ease the design leaves the armhole 2 inches lower than normal, the adjustments in the pattern are written as a note. If you choose to knit with no/negative ease the armhole will fit as normal.
