> To celebrate the launch of the > pattern, enjoy 20% off until Friday, > 15 May, no code needed **DESCRIPTION** "Terra" means earth in Latin and is the second piece in the Terra family, following the Terra Cardigan that I recently released. Both designs share the same simple texture, which adds a bit of subtle character to them. The vest is worked entirely in a textured stitch pattern. It is a very simple, straightforward design, but the tie bows on the back make it slightly more original and unexpected, while also adding a playful touch. The vest is worked top-down and seamlessly in a dedicated stitch pattern. The right back is worked first, then the left back. Afterwards, the shoulders are worked separately, and stitches are cast on between them to shape the neckline. The fronts and backs are then joined by casting on stitches at each underarm, and the body is worked flat to the hem, which is finished with 1x1 ribbing. Next, stitches are picked up around the neckline to work the neckband in 1x1 rib. Stitches are then picked up along the front edges to work the plackets in 1x1 rib. Finally, stitches are picked up along the plackets at four evenly spaced points to work four 1x1 ribbed bows. Optionally, the armholes are finished with an I-cord edging. The vest is designed to be worn with the opening at the back. The pattern includes schematics, video tutorials showing how to work the stitch pattern and tie the bows, and instructions for optional horizontal bust shaping.
