Splinter Socks

are a must for anyone who feels a sartorial pull toward thong sandals, haute couture Tabi boots, or traditional Japanese *Geta*. And if you wear none of these items? Well, perhaps still give it a try!
 Just for the sheer joy of donning these fun socks, and for the luxuriously 
cozy sensation of wool not just around your toes, but between them. The Splinter socks are worked cuff down, with [Integrated Heels][1] - which you can read about in detail [here][2]. Note that the stitch counts for the Splinter Socks are *not* the same as for the [Basic Sock with Integrated Heel](/patterns/library/basic-sock-with-integrated-heel) pattern, but have been calculated specifically to suit the proportions of this design. Note that currently this pattern is suitable for Nutiden yarns. A version suitable for standard sock yarns is coming in May-June 2026. ................................. MATERIALS & INFORMATION
