Oldtimer 40s tee

Oldtimer 40s tee is a new member of the series of Oldtimers that I have designed in the last year. Oldtimer 40s tee is knitted in a lovely blend of cotton and silk and is a true summer blouse. I have been inspired by the short-sleeved blouses that I associate with the 1940s. Without forgetting that we live in a different millennium. It is intended to fit closely over the shoulders and the upper chest and to is attended to have only a slight amount of ease down over the body. Therefore choose a size that is close to the actual bust measurement, possibly 0–5 cm smaller. The armhole is relatively close-fitting in order to achieve the desired silhouette and so that the puff becomes puffed in the right way. With increases/decreases down the body, there is the possibility to adjust the width depending on personal preference (A-line, waistshaping, straight down). The same applies to the length. It is not intended to be a long tee, as there should not be excess fabric that bulges under a skirt or in shorts. However, the tee can of course easily be lengthened to the desired length It is knitted top-down, and I can only recommend trying it on several times along the way, so that the tee can be adjusted to become as desired. The sleeves are constructed with a multitude of short rows so that they sit as puffed as a puff should be and was in the 1940s. As arms are just as different as bodies are, there are tips for adjustment. Between 6–11 balls of Elena in MC, 1 skein of CC have been used depending on the size being knitted. There are 7 sizes to choose from, from size 1–7, where the bust measurement ranges from 85 cm to 122 (remember it may / should have negative ease). It is constructed with a European shoulder. And techniques that must be mastered are knit, purl, working short rows, knitting from a chart, being able to increase a knit stitch by working into it multiple times – and it is not necessary to crochet in, for example, the neckline. But it gives a nice element and also does something beneficial for, for example, the neck width
