Jay Peak Hat

This was designed to be the simplest hat you'll ever make. I use it to teach beginners and long-time knitters can whip them up quickly for gifts. It's an adult sized hat. The pattern includes instruction for bulky and worsted weight yarns. In the photos, the green hat is made with bulky and the purple one with worsted. To make a smaller hat, use a smaller yarn. The skills you need are casting on and decreasing. You don't need to move to four needles or magic loop to make the top of the hat close - just cinch it closed when the stitches get stretched across your needle. Happy Knitting!
