Ultra cozy and comfortable, this cardigan lives up to its name and its sister, the Comfort Pullover. The Comfort Cardigan is a staple in any wardrobe. The extra length and curved hem are perfect for pairing with just about anything, and the roomy sleeve allows for easy layering with other knits. The rolled edges are easy to execute, and add charm. It’s a very enjoyable knit, with a very similar knitting experience to a top down raglan. The contiguous construction adds plenty of shoulder shaping with strategic increases. The result is super comfortable, roomy, cozy, and provides excellent fit across the shoulders. **Construction:** Worked top down seamlessly. Start with the saddles, increasing to shape the shoulders and the back neckline. CO sts to join the two, and continue shaping the shoulders. Start shaping the body and sleeves (like a compound raglan), while shaping the front neckline. Finish the yoke, and place the sleeve sts on hold while working the body. Work modified shadow wrap short rows to curve the front and back hems, finish with 2x2 ribbing and a rolled edge. Place the held sleeve sts back on the needles, pick up and knit a few sts from the underarms, and work the sleeve in the round, gently tapering it towards the wrist. Finish with a 2x2 ribbed cuff. Finally pick up sts from the left and right fronts to work 2 double knit button bands. Sts are picked up around the neckline to work either a single or folded collar, which integrate seamlessly into the button bands. > This pattern has been professionally tech edited by Sarah Walworth, and has been test knitted. **Included:** -Main Pattern PDF -Progress charts for the yoke -Access to the cardigan bust dart calculator for personalized horizontal bust dart instructions -Optional vertical bust dart instructions -Optional A-line body shaping modification -Explanation on modifying sleeve length -Illustrated construction overview -Links to video tutorials and explanations of special techniques -Hyperlinks in the pattern for easy navigation within the pattern -Full schematic and size chart **Sizing:** I recommend choosing a size according to your upper chest measurement, or the one that will fit your shoulders best.
