Book Seller's Socks

These socks were designed for the Knitting Bees Basket Show in Kyoto, 2024. When I think of Kyoto, I imagine retro cafés and old bookstores—these socks are inspired by a glasses-wearing bookseller who quietly drifts into a nostalgic café, as if they’ve always belonged there. These socks reflect that small story through cables reminiscent of books, frames, and classic textures. Worked from the cuff down with a heel flap construction, this pattern is written for the magic loop method using circular needles. Play with your own color combinations to bring out different moods and characters.
