Two Cake Cozy for Yarn

Do you knit two-at-a-time socks or two-at-a-time sleeves? Do you knit 2 strands of yarn held together to get gauge for a heavier yarn? Do you knit marls or hold a strand of mohair with a strand of fingering? Do you knit color work such as mosaic, stranded knitting or rows? If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, then this is an item you MUST own. You will no longer spend valuable knitting time untangling rats’ nests of yarn from your project bag or twirling your project to untwist the twists. Just rotate the cozy periodically if you see twists. If you knit to gauge, you will make a cozy that will hold 2 skeins of fingering or sock yarn. If you use a larger needle your cozy will be larger. Using a size 7 needle, I knit a cozy that holds two 100 gram skeins of worsted weight yarn. Directions are included to crochet an optional button loop. You may choose to close the top with a hook and eye, ties, or a removable stitch marker or safety pin. You don’t need to close it at all. This pattern has been test knit. At the time of publication, this seems to be the only pattern for sale on Ravelry for a double yarn cozy. I don’t know why no one has written one before, but here it is!
