The Giovanni Sweater is an elegant V-neck sweater with a classic fit worked top down in stockinette stitch with added purl details trailing across the shoulders and down the neck opening, body and sleeves. Increases shape and decorate the back panel while neat twisted slip stitch ribbing decorates the collar, cuffs and the hem. If you’re in between sizes, pick the larger size for a comfortable and relaxed fit. TIP: Take waist circumference into account when picking a size. The Giovanni Sweater is designed to have approx. 12 - 17 cm (4.75 - 6.75 inches) of positive ease at the chest, meaning that the finished garment’s chest circumference is going to be approx. 12 - 17 cm (4.75 - 6.75 inches) larger than the chest circumference you’re knitting for. The sample is knitted in a size L to fit a chest circumference of 103 cm (40.5 inches). The resulting positive ease is of 13.5 cm (5.25 inches).
