The Lin Convertible Poncho is an homage to my grandma, the woman who taught me to knit, and the most resourceful and creative person I know - this is also my first pattern so please (gently) give me feedback if you have any! Thanks to it’s many button and buttonhole combinations, the Lin poncho can be worn in 9+ ways, and the warm but airy mohair makes all iterations of the poncho a perfect light layer. This pattern is for a poncho/thneed that fits (XS - XL) and is for experienced beginner knitters, who also have basic crochet skills. The poncho is a great introduction to cables, and the construction is simple but the process definitely takes some time and patience to work up. *Disclaimer* - You may need to tweak the number of rows/COs depending on your personal wingspan and size preferences! To make the Lin Convertible Poncho, you will need: - 4.5mm circular needles, or very long 4.5mm regular needles - Cable needle or double sided 4.5mm needle - 3.5 mm crochet hook - 110 20 mm buttons in a matching color (if you're making one panel, you will only need 64 20 mm buttons) - Stitch markers - Darning needle that fits through holes of the button - 7-8 skeins of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair Yarn or other mohair yarns like the Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair Yarn. total of 1620 yards for both panels If you are making one panel, you will only need 4 skeins or 810 yards of your mohair of choice and you will be able to make 5 styles shown, as well as a scarf/shawl (not shown)
