Victory Sun Hat

This is an attractive, airy cotton blend summer hat with a brim for shade. I made this hat in an adult medium size by starting with 11 stitches in the circle and increased by 6 additional rounds (77, 84 sts total). I used Bernat Softee Cotton (which is great for summer hats), one ball each of colors Golden (top and brim), Feather Grey (top), and Golden Haze (body). The yarn composition is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic and keeps its shape nicely after washing. Care for this hat by following this guidance: Machine wash in warm water, gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Tumble dry low, gentle cycle. You can also use this pattern with any Light (Weight 3) cotton, such as Knit Picks Comfy Sport Weight yarn or Knit Picks Shine (both are more expensive than the Bernat and the balls are only 50 grams and the yarn blend is slightly different).
