This pattern is worked in rows. The gauge is not critical for this project. For hooks needed, I selected a size S hook because it was the closest one available on Ravelry, but I used an 18mm hook instead on the project. While the bag and flap itself is made from one piece, the strap and fringe are both added on, so this would probably count as a low-sew project instead.
