Crystal Shawlette

This delicate little shawlette is a great accessory when you want something around your neck without the bulk of a big shawl. This is the perfect pattern for that lonely skein of special yarn that has been sitting in your stash for much too long, waiting for the perfect project. Now you have found it! This pattern works **for a wide variety of yarns and yarn weights**, and the size is customizable. Made with cotton with just a touch of cashmere for a bit of luxury, with silk or a silk blend, or with a lovely wool or alpaca yarn, this can be lovely and light for summer or cuddly and warm for the cooler months. By weighing your yarn you can knit until you run out of yarn. Increase until you have used half of your yarn, and then decrease again - the perfect pattern to make the most of a precious skein! Note that solid or tonal colorways will show the pattern better than wildly variegated yarns.
