Kvist Shawl

**Description** The shawl and name Kvist (Twig in Danish) was inspired by the winter view from my studio. In front of my window grows a beautiful oak tree and behind it you can see bare fields rippled from ploughing. The world seems dormant during winter and the colors are a mix of browns and greys. This quiet period of the year calls for warm shawls wrapped around the shoulders while sipping tea indoors. The Kvist Shawl is worked bottom up while decreasing along the edges and center to create a triangular shape. If you hate casting on many stitches or binding off many stitches this is the perfect shawl for you - you only cast on 5 stitches and graft 6 in the end.
