Poison ivy cardigan

This is a crochet pattern only, not a finished product. The poison ivy cardigan is a super soft and lacy cardigan with vine (or ivy) like stripes. It is the second piece in my new collection where I name designs after poisonous plants in hopes that you'll get a confidence boost while wearing it and feel fierce. Info: - (advanced) beginner friendly - made-to-measure - takes me 3-4 days to make - this pattern uses US terminology and the metric system - customize the fit of the cardigan to your liking! You can make yours more or less lacy than mine, more or less open and more or less fitted. Materials: - yarn: I used 1 cone of 100 % cotton sequin yarn (200 g/600 m, fingering weight) (Woolstock.dk, label says “ZLWXL”) and 3 skeins of lace weight alpaca yarn from Sandness. You can use any fiber for this pattern but I recommend using fingering-DK weight yarn. The vine like sts will look chunkier the heavier your yarn is. You can make yours single, double or more stranded. I made mine double-stranded and paired fingering weight cotton with lace weight alpaca. If you make yours double or more stranded, I recommend pairing your “main” strand with as light yarn as possible (preferably lace weight). - Crochet hook: you'll need 2 hook sizes. Primary hook (“PH”): 4 mm larger than the (largest) size listed on your main yarn label. I used size 6,5 mm. If you don’t want your cardigan to be as lacy as mine, go for 3-3,5 mm larger than the listed size. Secondary hook (“SH”): 2 mm smaller than your primary hook size. I used size 4,5 mm. - Yarn needle: you will need the needle to sew the shoulder panels together. - Other materials: scissors and stitch markers (2).
