Mirka Scarf

Mirka Scarf is a small, satisfying knit. A slip-stitch edge and reversible stitch pattern create a clean finish and a fabric that lies flat, making it an ideal in-between project with scope for customisation. The texture was inspired by the small blossoms of a plum tree in my garden as spring arrives. Sizes One size. Length 120cm / 47 in, width 8.5cm / 3.4 in Gauge 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm (4” x 4”) on 4 mm (US 6) needle in stockinette stitch after blocking. 26 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10cm (4” x 4”) on 4 mm (US 6) needle in pattern stitch after blocking. Needed 4 mm (US 6) straight or circular needles to obtain the correct gauge. Notions: Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, scissors Yarn DK weight yarn amount up to 50 g / 112 m / 123 yards, this does not include yarn for optional swatch! Difficulty Advanced beginner - comfortable with the basic stitches, increases and decreases. Directions The scarf is worked flat in pattern stitch with slipped-stitch edges. It is worked in three sections: an increase section, a straight section, and a decrease section. Modifications The scarf can be easily adjusted in width, length, or overall shape.
