Kitchen Tile Square

This square tile can be used to connect the Kitchen Tile Octagons into a blanket. It is worked in the round using interlocking crochet techniques and is double-sided with the colors reversed on the back side. The squares and octagons are double the thickness of a regular crochet tile, giving the finished work a rich, thick texture. This project is ideal for intermediate and advanced crocheters who love colorwork but hate weaving in ends, since each tile is made with two continuous lengths of yarn. I suggest using a crochet hook 0.5mm larger than the yarn calls for. Gauge: The completed square measures 4.25 inches across from edge to edge.
