The Replay scarf pattern continues the Replay stitch series, featuring a highly textured, soft, and squishy fabric worked using the Rdc (raised double crochet) technique. The pattern includes **two scarf options**: a narrow scarf with pointed ends, and a wider scarf with straight edges. ★ The pattern is written out and charted, with a photo tutorial on stitches and swatch instructions ★ Language: English (US crochet terms) ★ Pages: 10 **MATERIALS** - Yarns: - Malabrigo Silkpaca; lace weight; 420 yards / 384 m per 50 g skein; 70% Baby Alpaca, 30% Mulberry Silk - Malabrigo Mohair; lace weight; 229 yards / 210 m per 25 g skein; 72% Mohair, 28% Silk - Hook: U.S. G/7 (4.5 mm) - Yarn needle to weave in ends **YARDAGE & COLORWAYS** The scarves are worked with one strand of Silkpaca **held together** with one strand of Mohair. Each option is designed to make the most of the yarn. - Pointed-end scarf: 1 skein of Silkpaca in Frank Ochre and 2 skeins of Mohair in Tigers Eye - Straight-end scarf: 2 skeins of Silkpaca in Azules and 4 skeins of Mohair in Under the Sea You can use **any yarn** you like for this design *(for example, the Replay shawls are worked in 100% merino wool, Malabrigo Arroyo, sport weight)*. However, holding mohair together with a thin laceweight yarn works especially well with this stitch pattern and creates an airy, very soft, and fluffy fabric. ◍•ᴗ•◍ **GAUGE FOR SWATCH** 22 sts and 20 rows = 4″ (10 cm) worked in linen st patt only. *An exact gauge is not crucial for this design.* **FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** Pointed-end scarf: 4¾'' (12 cm) wide and 69'' (175 cm) long Straight-end scarf: 7½'' (19.5 cm) wide and 82¼'' (209 cm) long You can adjust the length of either option by working more row-PRs, and you can adjust the width as well. - For the straight-end scarf, simply add as many st patt repeats as you like by working an extra 8 sts for each additional PR. - For the pointed-end scarf, please see the additional modification notes in the instructions. **TECHNIQUE** The stitch pattern is based on the linen (moss) stitch, with some sc replaced by specific textured stitch: raised double crochet (you can find it in my [Leaf shawls and tops series][1], [In Three Ways collection][2], [Replay shawls][3], and in Chapter 2 of the [New Ways with Crochet][4] book). > I create new crochet stitches to show > a quieter, softer side of crochet: > calm, simple, and casual. My patterns > may look unusual at first only because > the technique is new to you, just like > your first chain or single crochet > once was. After a little practice, it > feels easy and natural. >Subscribe to [my mailing list][5] for the latest pattern releases, sales, inspiring crochet tips, and a peek into my design process. > >You can also join me on: >[Instagram][6] ~ [TikTok][7] ~ [Facebook][8] [1]: https://www.ravelry.com/bundles/leaf-series [2]: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/in-three-ways [3]: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/replay-2 [4]: https://www.cupofstitches.com/book [5]: https://www.cupofstitches.com/newsletter [6]: https://www.instagram.com/ravliki/ [7]: https://www.tiktok.com/@ravliki [8]: https://www.facebook.com/crochetravliki/
