It’s a sister design to Kvit pullover featuring the same floral colourwork pattern. The socks are knit top-down in the round with a pattern, which combines stranded and inlay colourwork and crossed stitches, on the cuff and a short row heel. Kvit takes its name from the Ukrainian word kvitka, meaning “flower” — an inspiration that couldn’t be more fitting. Designed in the depths of grey winter, the pattern reflects my longing for spring and colour. You can take a closer look at my sample and discover the design process in episode 50 of my [podcast on YouTube][5]. **Sizes** ----- The pattern is written for three sizes 1 (2, 3) to fit 19 (21, 24) cm // 7.5 (8.5, 9.5) in foot circumference (see schematic for measurements). The foot circumference can also be easily adjusted to a number of intermediate sizes. The necessary directions for that are provided. The sample is shown in size 1 for EU 38
(UK 5.5, US 7.5) size. The yardage is estimated accordingly, which means that you will need slightly less yarn for a smaller foot size and more for larger. **Yarn** ---- **MC:** ca. 65 (75, 85) g or 1 skein of Sokka from Studio Solas, 80% Finnwool,
20% biodegradable polyamide, with 360 m (394 yds)

or ca. 234 (270, 306) m // 256 (295, 335) yds of any other fingering weight sock yarn. **CC:**
five shades of No.3 from G-Uld, 100% New Zealand lambswool, with 450 m (492 yds) in 100 g; * C1 (dark pink): ca. 2 g or 9 m (10 yds); * C2 (light brown): ca. 2 g or 10 m (11 yds); * C3 (light green): ca. 3 g or 15 m (16 yds); * C4 (dark green): ca. 3 g or 15 m (16 yds); * C5 (dark brown): ca. 1 g or 5 m (5 yds). **Needles and notions** ------------------- * 2.5 mm (US 1.5), 3.0 mm (US 2.5) and
