Kitchen Tile Octagon

This octagonal tile is worked in the round using interlocking crochet techniques. It is double-sided with the colors reversed on the back side. It is also double the thickness of a regular crochet tile and can be worked into a cozy blanket. This project is ideal for anyone who loves colorwork but hates weaving in ends, since each octagon is made with two continuous lengths of yarn. Materials: Yarn A: Paintbox Cotton DK Vanilla Cream x1 ball Yarn B: Paintbox Cotton DK Royal Blue x1 ball 4.5mm hook This tile can be worked with any yarn. I suggest using a crochet hook 0.5mm larger than the yarn calls for. Gauge: After round 15, the work should measure 6.25 inches in diameter using a 4.5mm hook and DK yarn.
