Rebel Loon Tapestry

Inspired by Minnesota’s state bird (the loon) and the Star Wars rebel alliance symbol, the Rebel Loon has become a symbol of solidarity and community in Minnesota during Operation Metro Surge. As our immigrant neighbors are under attack, we have come together to fight back against fascism. This is a tapestry crochet pattern for the Rebel Loon with final measurements of approximately 40 x 42 cm after blocking—It’s the perfect size for a protest sign! The PDF file includes both written instructions and a color chart! Yarn: Any weight 4 acrylic yarn will do. I used less than 1 skein per color. (1 skein = approx. 347m/375yds) Colors used: Beige Blue Dark Navy Red (only two stitches, so a scrap amount of red will work).
