Lacy Motif

This is a pattern for a square crochet motif (block), which can be used for a variety of projects such as a table runner, a tablecloth, a decorative pillow cover, a lacy curtain, a summer blouse or top, etc. I made these motifs with mercerized 100% cotton yarn (category 2) and a size D (3.25 MM) hook. The finished size of my motif was 3 by 4 inches, or 7.5 by 7.5 cm. You can use other yarn or thread for your project. The finished size of your motif will be different. This a written pattern for the motif and instructions on how to join the motifs (they are joined "as you go" in the last round of the motif). I also made a detailed video tutorial (the link to the video is included in the pattern). The skill level is intermediate. Even though the stitches used are not complicated, it takes some skill/practice to join the motifs together neatly. The pattern is written in English using the US crochet terminology.
