Owlie 2.0 is a fresh take on an oldie but a goodie, The Sunshine Owl, reworked and refreshed with new stitches to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in Sunshine Land. This is the absolute perfect project for those who sit drooling at other Sunshiners finished makes but are too scared to try, “cos I could never do that!” It’s the perfect project for beginners who are looking to expand their abilities. You will learn lots of new stitches, all of them just so happen to me by favs and are stitches that I use in all of my patterns. Happy Anniversary to Sunshineland. To those of you that have been along for the adventure since the get go, Thank You for allowing me to live the dream and for those of you just joining us on your first adventure, get ready to get Hooked on Sunshine. It uses US terminology. Skill level - Adventurous beginner **Cal information** *PLEASE NOTE:** Currently, only the CAL info document is available to download upon purchase. The Prelude will be released and uploaded to your library on Friday 27th February 2026. Please make sure you download a copy and keep it handy for the duration of the CAL. The Prelude contains all yarn information for my colourway, all stitch abbreviations, photo tutorials and videos for the more complicated stitches and further important information regarding the pattern. This is a 9 Part CAL including the border. Part 1 will be released on the Friday 6th March 2026. The Border will be released on Friday 1st May 2026. You will only need to pay the purchase price once, NOT each time a new part is released. Parts are released weekly on a Friday. **Release schedule:** Friday 27th Feb – The Prelude Friday 6th March – Part 1 Friday 13th March – Part 2 Friday 20th March - Part 3 Friday 27th March – Part 4 Friday 3rd April – Part 5 Friday 10th April – Part 6 Friday 17th April – Part 7 Friday 24th April – Part 8 Friday 1st May – The Border Parts will only be released on a Friday after I’m adequately caffeinated LOL! Please check your library, either on Ravelry or the Hooked on Sunshine website (depending on where you purchased), for weekly pattern part releases. You do not need to receive an email to access new parts as they are uploaded to libraries, so don’t panic if you don’t get one, just pop into your library. **Material list:** * Any yarn of your choice – I used Colourspun DK cotton (50g/125m) – 4mm hook. * Acrylic DK yarn (used for eye highlights and eyebrow floof, I used white, blue and grey) optional. Eyebrow floof can also be made with eyelash yarn. * Hook applicable to your yarn weight. * You may also need a half size bigger hook, depending on your tension. * Needle for sewing in ends and needle join. * Stitch markers.
